Every brand comes to me with a mix of ideas, hopes, unfinished notes and a lot of “we tried writing this ourselves but something feels off.” After years of building real voices for real brands, I have shaped all of that experience into a simple three part framework.
My Framework
What to expect
② Build the Voice
Once the core is clear, I shape it into a voice that feels honest, confident and unmistakably yours. I map out what you should be saying, what you should stop saying, and how to put everything in an order that makes sense. This becomes the foundation for every word that follows.
③ Write the System
Once the core is clear, I shape it into a voice that feels honest, confident and unmistakably yours. I map out what you should be saying, what you should stop saying and how to put everything in an order that makes sense. You will be left with platform specific tone of voice guidelines that you can actually run with. This becomes the foundation for every word that follows.
① Decode the Core
Before any real work starts, I want to understand your world properly. Share the copy your team uses, the lines that get repeated in meetings, the mission, the references you admire and where you want the company to go. I want the full picture so I can understand your strengths, your gaps and what success looks like. The more I see, the faster I can define the voice your brand was always meant to have.
Clear, confident language has a measurable impact. The brands I work with have seen meaningful shifts in how they are understood, trusted and chosen. Good writing is not decoration. It changes how people respond to you.
Some of the results clients have reported include:
25–40% increase in newsletter sign-ups after refining messaging and calls to action
30% improvement in inbound enquiry quality, with clearer briefs and better-fit clients
15–35% lift in website engagement within the first 4–8 weeks of updated copy
Shorter sales cycles and stronger investor conversations, with founders reporting clearer pitch delivery
18–28% increase in conversion rates across key landing pages and launch campaigns
Consistent messaging across 4+ platforms, leading to stronger brand recall and higher repeat engagement
And the less quantifiable but equally important wins:
Reduced internal friction around messaging, with teams reporting fewer rewrites and faster approvals
Greater founder confidence in investor and sales conversations, with clearer articulation of value
Stronger brand alignment across teams, with less contradictory messaging across platforms
Increased engagement with long-form copy, with audiences spending more time reading and responding

“Tess built our voice from scratch before we launched. The tagline she wrote became the line people associate with us. It’s been shared, screenshotted, reused and quoted more times than I can count. I did not expect six words to carry that much weight.”
